15 miles down today, and though Seth’s still raring to hike more, I don’t know that my feet will carry me any further. We’ve landed ourselves in a pretty unexpected and amazing place – the home of a guy named Mike Herrera who has opened his remote and conveniently located home and property to the masses of PCT hikers who, grateful for some respite from the desert, drape themselves over every available piece of mismatched lawn furniture and within every reachable patch of shade. Seth’s holding court near the house, telling tale of his Continental divide days to a surprisingly captivated (or perhaps captive) audience.
